Things you should know to swing a golf club
If the first two lessons taught you how to get started with your backswing, and how to get yourself in a position when you can start with your downswing, this chapter will tell you on all you have to do to unleash the power on your shots.
What is the downswing
The backswing, starting and ending, will just give you a starting point from where you could launch the ball in orbit. But the hard work is yet to be done. Now, you have to ensure that with a fluid motion of your arms, shoulders and hips, you provide the final energy push or impetus, which will launch the ball in a trajectory.

Having a perfect backswing is all of step 1 for you to get a good swing,
but really the exercise cannot be complete until you finish it up with a good enough
downswing, where you release all the power built up.
Beginners, with some practice, do manage to get their backswing right, yet when it
comes to downswing, fail miserably. One of the main reasons for that is during the
downswing, individuals are expected to release the power and energy built up in them during
the backswing process, which most of them find tough to make a transition
to.
What to do first when starting your
downswing
When you start the downswing, the first part of the body you need to focus on, is your hips. The hips is considered to be the first part of your body that will change its positions, followed by the arms and shoulders.
When you want to make a full, natural golf swing, you have to understand how your body should move. One of if not these most important part of a full golf swing is how your body moves. If you would like you learn more about the complete golf swing check out, Golf Swing Tips – Part 1
This is the time when you would need to shift the body weight from right foot to left foot. Though, at first, you might have to force this change, but with practice, you would get this transfer of weight rather easily.
How to uncoil your body to accomplish the release of energy
After all the hard work you have done thus far, it is time for you to release all the
power built-up in you. First, remember that your wrists have to be in bent position. Just before you are about to hit the ball, you must make sure of releasing the wrists from the club, which will allow a good release of power.
By now, we are drawing to a close to hit the ball as hard as we can. Bring the club down, while you make an effort to smash the ball. Release all the energy at the last minute, and you will already feel a whip like motion in your body.
